PLUME S.r.l. develops produces and sells high-tech products and services based on plasma technologies. Our expertise and technologies result from the work of lot of researchers inside the “Centro Plasma Prometeo” at the Department of Physics of the University of Milano-Bicocca.
Our main goal is to offer plasma based surface modification processes, including:
- Functionalization of flexible materials like, for example, fabrics, plastic films, polymeric membranes and 3D objects. This technology can include both plasma treatment and nano-sized coating deposition
- Nanostructured thin film deposition made of metals or metal oxides for application in sensor and photovoltaic fields
PLUME can rely on a wide range of equipment at the Milano-Bicocca University, suitable for the development and validation of plasma processes from the lab up to industrial scale. A wide experience of the team in the field of R&D, operated with and for productive world, completes PLUME profile.

PLUME S.r.l.: ONE LOGO, LOT OF MEANINGS
PLUME LOGO, an iconographic fusion of a leaf and a plume, represents the liaison between the environmental sustainability promoted by our Company and the logotype PLUME. Green nuances reminds the Nature, whereas fuchsia-violet shades make think to the colour of Plasma, the fourth state of matter and core of our technology.

PLUME S.r.l. is a start-up born as a Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca spin-off. It has been established in October 2016 by Claudia Riccardi, Elisa Dell’Orto and Stefano Zanini, all members of the Department of Physics “G. Occhialini”, where Plasma Prometeo operates.
Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca has been established in Dicember 1998, with the aim of expanding knowledge and research in various fields: scientific, medical, economic, statistic, legal, psychological and pedagogical. The University dedicates a special attention to the territory in which it operates, giving a strong contribute to the development of production base. Although it is a young University it can rely on an extended network which includes world recognized University, research centre, top companies and lot of spin-off, among them PLUME S.r.l.
